Coding tools

Most AI coding tools let you bring your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Point them at apicuts and your team's coding spend gets the same savings as production.

You need your apicuts endpoint and key from the onboarding call. Use the model names you already use.

Cursor

Open Cursor's settings and go to Models. Paste your apicuts key into the OpenAI API key field, switch on the option to override the OpenAI base URL, and paste your apicuts endpoint. Then add the model names you want to use. Some Cursor features run on Cursor's own models and don't use a custom key.

Continue

Add apicuts as an OpenAI-compatible model in your Continue config.yaml:

config.yaml
models:
  - name: apicuts
    provider: openai
    model: your-model
    apiBase: YOUR_APICUTS_ENDPOINT
    apiKey: YOUR_APICUTS_KEY

Cline

In Cline's settings, choose OpenAI Compatible as the API provider. Enter your apicuts endpoint as the base URL, your apicuts key, and the model ID.

Aider

Shell
export OPENAI_API_BASE="YOUR_APICUTS_ENDPOINT"
export OPENAI_API_KEY="YOUR_APICUTS_KEY"
aider --model openai/your-model

Claude Code

Claude Code talks to Anthropic's Messages API rather than the OpenAI format. Native Anthropic format is on our roadmap.

Any other tool

If a tool lets you set an OpenAI base URL and API key, it works with apicuts. See SDKs and integrations for code examples.
