Anthropic's current Claude models range from Haiku 5.5 at $0.10 per 1M input tokens to Fable 5.1 at $10. Cache reads cost a fraction of the input price, and the Batch API takes 50% off.

USD per 1M tokens, standard tier. A typical request here is 2,000 input and 400 output tokens, with no caching. Anthropic's "cached input" is its cache-read price; cache writes cost extra.

Claude Fable 5.1 pricing: Claude Fable 5.1 is Anthropic's most capable widely released model, for the most demanding reasoning and long-horizon agentic work. Its cache reads cost a quarter of Claude Fable 5's.
Claude Opus 5.5 pricing: Claude Opus 5.5 is Anthropic's current Opus model for long-running agentic coding and knowledge work, priced below Claude Opus 5's $5 / $25.
Claude Sonnet 5.5 pricing: Claude Sonnet 5.5 is Anthropic's model for most production workloads, at half Opus 5.5's per-token price.
Claude Haiku 5.5 pricing: Claude Haiku 5.5 is Anthropic's fast, low-cost model for high-volume work such as classification, routing and extraction. Its price depends on prompt length.

Where the bill comes from

Most of a typical bill is output tokens and repeated input. Output costs about five times input or more on these models, and an uncached system prompt is paid for on every call. Cut output length, cache the prefix, and batch what can wait before you change models.
